I was out with a few pals fishing when we were passed at high noon closely by the Young Endeavour.
What a fine looking vessel she is too. no, she is a beautiful chip. My word, I was quite taken aback as she sailed past just 30 metres away.
STS Young Endeavour is an Australian tall ship, presented as a gift from the United Kingdom for Australia's bicentenary of colonisation in 1988. She operates as a sail training vessel and is operated by the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). The vessel was designed by naval architect Colin Mudie and is brigantine rigged.
The ship conducts voyages for young Australians aged between 16 and 23 years. 24 'youth crew' are selected by ballot process twice a year, for an eleven-day voyage.

We went down to Canberra to see the Masters Exhibition ... including one of Van Gogh's "Starry Night"s ... and stopped off at Collector. Here, Constable Samuel Snelson {sic} aged 37, was shot dead on the 26th January 1865 when he took on bushrangers John Dunn and Ben Hall outside this pub. Samuel was married with 8 children. John Dunn, aged 19, was hanged on the 19th March 1866 at Darlinghurst Jail in Sydney for the murder of Constable Snelson.

Now here's an interesting emporium, UNEKE antiques, homewares and gifts located in Fitzmaurice Street, in Wagga Wagga in the Riverina.
We are frequent visitors to Wagga (just the one Wagga as it is known), as our daughter is on campus here at Charles Sturt University.
Apart from the bric-a-brac and stuff, I particularly like the staircase, colours and old, tongue and groove cypress pine floor.
